Tomato Patch Visual and Performing Arts Workshops

Tomato Patch Visual and Performing Arts Workshops, held annually on the West Windsor Campus of Mercer County Community College, is one of the longest-running and most successful multi-disciplinary summer arts programs in central New Jersey. Since 1973, over 7,000 junior and senior high school students have spent several weeks of their summer exploring the visual arts, dance, theater, and vocal music under the guidance of a highly qualified staff of teaching professional artists. Students select a major concentration in either the theater, dance, vocal music, visual arts, and spend two morning classes in these areas. After lunch, they are free to choose electives in other areas. Afternoon course offerings for 2016 may include children's theatre, "Who's line is it anyhow?", painting, drawing, jazz dance, musical theatre, children's theater, a cappella singing, hip hop, vocal ensemble, comedy, music video and web video.

Summer 2017 Open House 2/26/17 - The International Ivy Summer Enrichment Program is dedicated to providing fun and intellectually-stimulating experiences to fuel young people's interest and creativity. Summer is a great time to explore. We design our classes to be creative and hands-on. Kids design video games, build robots, tinker with the engineering of gadgets, conduct experiments and make films. We believe kids learn best by doing.     Registration is now open for Watershed Nature Camp 2017!

    Campers spend summer days outside exploring the wonders of nature on our 930-acre reserve. They learn about nature and themselves while playing in our fields, forests, pond, and stream with campers their age. Our camp has a distinctive home in our natural and engineered campus! The Watershed Center for Environmental Advocacy, Science, and Education is our new LEED Platinum-certified facility. It is a model for green building in our region. Campers will have a chance to learn in our classrooms, exhibits, science lab and weather station.
