McCarter Theatre

609-258-2787

Youth Summer Camp - McCarter’s Summer Camp uses a Devised Theater Approach. Ages 7-12.

At McCarter’s Youth Summer Camp, children use their imaginations to build an original show together. They’ll invent the story through acting games, improvisation, movement, and group brainstorming. Campers become creators, not just actors. They learn confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, and the thrill of bringing original ideas to life.

Teen Conservatory Summer Program - Professional Training. Inspiring Mentorship. Extraordinary Growth. Ages 13-17.

McCarter’s Teen Conservatory is a two-week intensive for young artists who are ready to take their craft to the next level. Whether they’re stepping into focused training for the first time or already working at an advanced level, this program blends rigorous conservatory-style study with the joy, curiosity, and ensemble spirit that define McCarter’s educational approach. Each session offers new artistic material, new industry guests, and distinct learning outcomes.

The Diplomat Academy

732-688-4335

Founded by a former U.S. diplomat, The Diplomat Academy offers a rare opportunity for children to develop confidence, leadership, diplomacy, and entrepreneurial thinking in a unique summer experience.

Designed for children ages 8–13, this engaging program helps students build communication, social, and leadership skills. Campers participate in hands-on activities that teach dining etiquette, public speaking, teamwork, financial literacy, and the confidence to present themselves with poise in any setting. Through Model United Nations simulations, entrepreneurship workshops, and true fine dining experiences, children learn to think critically, express ideas, and work effectively with others. Each week introduces new skills that help campers grow socially and academically.
