Summer Camps Guide

Lavner Camps at Stuart Country Day School

We are excited to offer Filmmaking Camp at Stuart Country Day School this summer! The ultimate goal of Filmmaking Camp is to teach campers how to start and complete a film project from scratch. Campers script a short film, develop characters, and film, edit, and produce a final copy of their work, which can be used as a real for aspiring actors/directors. All of the skills learned at camp help campers understand the many different aspects of working in film especially since this camp is a combination of scripting, acting, directing, and editing. When starting out in film, whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes, it is always important to understand and appreciate all aspects of production. Therefore, campers get a taste of everything, and can then decide what they like and want to pursue in the future. Campers are grouped by age and ability. Grades 1-4
