Annual 'Night Out With NAMI' November 18
We are at the starting gate for Night Out With NAMI and counting on you to get us over the finish line! On Saturday evening, November 18, 2023, we will gather at Trenton County Club for A Night at the Races, a Kentucky Derby-themed event complete with southern fare, mint juleps, live bluegrass music, a silent auction, and some friendly wagering -- with donations to benefit NAMI Mercer! We would be thrilled to have you join us!
Central to the celebration are the mental health champions we will be honoring: Tom Pyle and David Lee White. Tom, who found his way to NAMI Mercer after his son was diagnosed with schizophrenia, will receive the NAMI Mercer Pillar Award for his commitment to advancing our mission as a long-time dedicated volunteer and board member, most recently, president. NAMI Mercer's Visionary Award will be presented to local playwright David Lee White for drawing on the incredible power of the arts to call for greater understanding of those with mental health challenges and to convey a compelling message of hope. He too, has been a good friend to us over the years.
Night Out With NAMI attendees are encouraged to don bow ties and fancy hats for a fun-filled evening in support of a good cause.
