The Wilberforce School joins academic excellence with spiritual formation. Like you, we know that a child’s intellectual, social, and spiritual formation happen together. Before they graduate, children spend 16,000 hours at school. These hours are formative not only as to what students learn, but also as to who they become. At Wilberforce we are intentional about how we steward these formative years.

YingHua International School (YHIS) offers in person and virtual English-Chinese dual language education with an internationally-focused, inquiry-based curriculum. YHIS is also the third school in the United States which offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Year Program with whole-school Chinese immersion. YHIS enables ethnically diverse students from as young as 18 months through 8th grade, to develop the skills and mindset needed to become leaders in an increasingly global world. Through exposure at an early age to a language-immersive environment, combined with International Baccaulareate and inquiry-based learning, YHIS students gain the deeply rooted cognitive benefits that stay with them well into adulthood. While many parents are initially drawn to YHIS for Chinese immersion, they often stay because of its ability to foster independence and self-reliance while instilling critical thinking skills and academic excellence.

Creative Connections Play School
Creative Connections Play School is a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool program for children ages 3-5. We offer full day care to help working parents, but we also have half day slots available. The children spend time exploring our classroom and playground with experienced teachers and we follow their interests and passions. We know that children come to us full of knowledge and we seek to honor the inquisitive nature of young children so that our community can learn and grow alongside each other.
During the morning we have a focus on literacy and art and we spend time listening to stories, playing with letters and numbers and creating art in many ways. Children flourish at our school because we allow them the freedom to express themselves using creative and collaborative thinking. Our school environment is a nurturing space where children can make their ideas happen!
