Join us for Community on Tap, a series of free, 15-minute guided tours of Princeton’s Taverns: On the Road to Revolution in Dohm Alley. Located just steps from where several historic taverns once stood, the outdoor exhibition explores the important role taverns played in eighteenth-century Princeton as centers of commerce, communication, politics, and community life. Learn how historians use maps, newspapers, tavern licenses, archaeology, and personal accounts to reconstruct everyday life during the Revolutionary era and hear more about the research behind the exhibition.
Tours begin at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. in Dohm Alley, located off Nassau Street next to Starbucks. Each tour lasts approximately 15 minutes.
