Summer Fairy Festival @The Watershed Institute

Fairies and friends gather together for some magical activities at The Watershed Institute. We will build fairy cottages using natural materials, create fun crafts, splash together as we play mermaid games, flutter around an obstacle course and more! Come dressed as a fairy or other mythical creature. Ages 2 and up. Adult attendance required.

Butterfly Bonanza Tour, Grounds for Sculpture

As summer warms and the days lengthen, butterflies mix and mingle over the meadows at GFS. Led by staff from Mercer County Parks & Recreation, get up close and personal with many different species and find out how these colorful, delicate insects benefit the gardens with a family-friendly scavenger hunt for all ages.

Gemma's Gratitude Yoga Class, Herrontown Woods

Every Saturday morning, weather permitting, from June to November and open to all levels of yoga practice. Please bring your own yoga mat to the class, along with a water bottle and sunscreen. Led by Gemma Farrell of Gratitude Yoga, these weekly Vinyasa classes are offered on a donation basis, meaning they are free, with all donations generously going to benefit the Friends of Herrontown Woods. Bastille Day Celebration, Alliance Francaise Princeton

Enjoy a picnic lunch with your family and friends – we'll provide the food, drink and all the accoutrements!! In addition, you can: • Converse in French (and English) • Play Pétanque (Boules) • Listen to French Music • Talk to our Board members for advice and tips for traveling to and visiting France. You could win one of many excellent door prizes!! But you must be present to win. BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY – Family members under the age of 12 are welcome to attend free of charge – just let us know how many in the notes section at checkout!! This is an event for the whole community hosted by Alliance Française, Princeton to celebrate French culture and recognize the close ties established between the U.S. and France. You don't need to speak French to attend – just an appreciation of the French culture and a desire to enjoy the afternoon with us!

We have a sheltered pavilion in case of rain. Please buy your tickets by July 8th to ensure we have plenty of drinks and desserts on hand.

Evening Blacksmithing, Howell Living History Farm

Learn about the finer points of shaping metal when blacksmith Daniel Lapidow fires up the forge and heats wrought iron for bending, hammering, and sharpening. Help out by turning the crank of the forge blower until the iron glows orange, while he makes harness hooks, gate hinges, and other hardware needed on the farm. Initialed horseshoes and other handmade items will be available for purchase.
