Introduce your young child to the fun of the farm with this innovative program. This unique program combines a hands-on farm activity with listening to a story highlighting a fruit or farm area. Each session starts with an educational program that includes reading stories and discussing how crops are grown or learning about an area of the farm. Children then have hands-on picking time or complete a craft activity.

Preschool Nature Class: Butterflies, The Watershed Institute

Join Watershed Educator Alison Novobilsky for a fun filled tour of the Butterfly House, lesson of the butterfly’s lifecycle and venture out to the meadow with nets to catch butterflies. Classes generally include a craft, hike, and activity for the week's theme. We spend time outdoors each week, so come dressed for the weather with waterproof shoes.

This program is intended for children ages 3-5. Younger siblings are welcome to attend with a parent, but we ask that they do not participate in activities.  Adult attendance and preregistration required- walk ins will not be allowed

Summer Film Series: From Page to Screen, Princeton Public Library

Aug. 4 - "My Fair Lady" (1964, NR, 2 hours and 50 minutes): Based on "Pygmalion," the play by George Bernard Shaw, this film follows a phonetics professor who wagers that he can transform a working-class flower seller into a woman capable of passing as a member of high society. The film won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Rex Harrison.

Experience six films adapted from beloved books in this celebration of classic cinema and great literature. The films in this series were selected through a vote of library staff, who chose their favorite book-to-film adaptations released before 1995. Join us to explore the enduring connection between the written word and the silver screen through stories that have captivated generations.
