Sunday, 11/12, 4:00 PM: All MOZART Concert, Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall, on the campus of Princeton University. The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) performs its All MOZART concert featuring pianist Shai Wosner. Mr. Wosner performs Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12, K. 414, on an all-Mozart program with Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525 and the Symphony No. 29 in A Major, K. 201. Saturday, 11/11, 11:00 AM: Cranksgiving, West Windsor Fire Company # 1, 153 S. Mill Road, West Windsor. It's a food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt. Participants will meet at Volunteer Fire Company #1 on South Mill Road in West Windsor. They will register, and receive a printout on what food items to purchase at three local businesses. Participants will also receive a cue sheet on how to get to each location. There will be two well-marked routes, 10 and 20 miles. All donations will benefit the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). Participants need to bring a bike, helmet, a backpack to hold their items, and $15 to spend. There is no entry fee. Each participant will arrive at your store, leave their bike outside with one of our volunteers and come in to purchase the items on the list. This is a community event where parents and children are encouraged to ride together.This event has been in progress since 1999 in NYC. This is my fourth year here in Princeton. Saturday, 11/11, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Opening Reception - Objects of Our Lives Pop-up Shop,10 Hulfish Street, Princeton. “OBJECTS OF OUR LIVES” (OOOL), an online lifestyle and home décor brand presents renowned photographer/designer Martyn Thompson and his fantastic world of textile, fabric and furniture on November 11, 2017 at OOOL’s pop-up store located on 10 Hulfish Street in Princeton. The exhibition will include Martyn Thompson’s creation of pillows, scarves, lamps, wall hangings, floral and floor pillows as well as sofas. The exhibition will be open until December 8th 2017. The sales throughout the exhibition will be first-come, first serve basis.
Sunday, 11/12, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Off the Wall Affordable Art Sale and Artisan Market, West Windsor Arts Council, 952 Alexander Road, West Windsor, NJ 08550. The West Windsor Arts Center will host its annual juried Off the Wall Affordable Art Sale and Artisan Market where shoppers will find original artwork and high-quality handmade items. Visitors can shop for handmade gifts including scarves and accessories created with hand-dyed felt and silk; beautiful American hardwood cutting boards and other kitchen items; innovative jewelry made with silver, gold, gemstones, and hand-blown glass; wheel thrown as well as hand-built ceramic bowls, mugs and platters; and much more. The first 50 members will get a free gift bag with goodies from the artisans. Admission is $2/person.
