Mother's Day Plants and More Sale, Princeton/Pettoranello Sister City Foundation

The Princeton/Pettoranello Sister City Foundation, in partnership with Blooms Garden Center, is holding its annual Mother’s Day plant/bake/costume jewelry by Jane sale on Saturday, May 9 from 9am to 2pm in the parking lot of the Pettoranello Gardens located in the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve. Proceeds will be used to maintain this special spot in the preserve and to sponsor local scholarships and the PHS Italian exchange program.

In season, our market is stocked with Certified Organic Produce, Microgreens, and Rice from our farms as well as hand curated goods from local vendors. Available this 2026 season: Cherry Grove Farm, Griggstown Farm, and Double Brook Farm meats, Cherry Grove Farm and Calkins Creamery cheeses, Bent Spoon and Owowcow Creamery ice cream, and many more locally-produced foods. Availability is posted on Blue Moon Acres’ Facebook page the day of the market. Shop our online market anytime for delivery or pickup at either of our farms.

Mother’s Day Planting Make n’ Take, Terhune Orchards

In this Mother’s Day program, our youngest gardeners will have hands-on fun making their very own planted gift. Kids can pot and decorate a flower (or herb) pot and take it home for their mom or grandmom and make a homemade card. Attendees should plan to arrive anytime between 10-11:30 am, the event ends at noon. $10 per child.

HCHS Walking Tour - Historic Flemington

Ever wonder what downtown Flemington looked like around 1900 when horse-drawn carriages rolled down an unpaved Main Street? Join us for the first-ever Asher Stryker Walking Tour on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m., led by lifelong resident and Hunterdon County Historical Society Trustee President Peter Goodell. The walking tour will feature: • Stryker’s rare 1900s photographs presented alongside modern views of Main and Mine streets. • Fascinating tales of vanished or altered buildings -- and the town’s movers and shakers who once lived in them. • How the downtown has evolved in the past 120-plus years. The tour will begin in front of the Doric House Museum at 114 Main Street in Flemington. The tour is free for HCHS members, and costs $10 for nonmembers. The Hunterdon Mistral Release - Mother's Day Wine Weekend, Unionville Vineyards

Snow White, Princeton Ballet School

Experience the timeless fairy tale of Snow White as she runs away from the evil queen and finds solace with seven friendly dwarfs. Watch as the witch convinces her to bite the poisoned apple and witness the magic of true love’s kiss. This enchanting one-hour ballet, choreographed by Samantha Dunster, American Repertory Ballet’s Interim Artistic Director, and set to an original score by Kermit Poling, is a captivating experience for audiences of all ages. Don’t miss this spellbinding performance that celebrates love, courage, and the triumph of good over evil. The performances will also feature Paquita and a pas de deux from La Fille Mal Gardée. Princeton Ballet School is the official school of American Repertory Ballet, a founding resident company of NBPAC. Over 200 students from ages 6 to 26 will take the stage in this culminating and dazzling year-end performance!

Spring Winery Weekend Music Series @Terhune's

ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) is thrilled to bring the enchanting world of Arendelle to life with their upcoming production of Disney's Frozen: The Broadway Musical. Featuring a double cast of talented young performers, the production will take the stage at Voorhees High School in Lebanon Township for two weekends, May 2–10, 2026.

Based on the 2013 Academy Award-winning animated film, the Broadway musical expands upon the emotional relationship between sisters Elsa and Anna. When Elsa's hidden powers are accidentally revealed, plunging the kingdom into an eternal winter, Anna sets out on a journey to save her sister and their home. The show features beloved songs from the film alongside new music written specifically for the stage.

Building Princeton: America250 Edition

Visualize the town and campus as you’ve never seen them before! Working from photographs, teams recreate iconic Princeton structures out of LEGO building blocks. Choose among more than 50 historic structures, famous residences, community buildings, and houses of worship to construct a scale model. Additional 18th century buildings have been added for the Semiquincentennial. When complete, models are placed on a 30-foot map of Princeton, providing an amazing aerial view.

Christian Science Free Lecture

Alexandre Fischer, Christian Science practitioner and lecturer will present his talk, Is Jesus’ Healing Work a Model for Today? Alexandre will discuss Christian Science and how it explains the practical application of Jesus’ teachings in daily life, for anyone, including physical healing. He explores examples from the Bible and shares personal testimonies of healing, all pointing to the fact that God is not far off, but here and now. We are all capable of understanding this for ourselves, of genuinely feeling infinite, ever-present Love, which is God, and helping others do the same.

This talk is free, open to the public and registration is not needed. Parking and childcare are available.

Cellist Maja Bogdanovi to Perform Saint-Saëns with the PSO
