Preschool Nature Class: Weather Watchers, The Watershed Institute

Discover all the fun differences between our feet and animal feet. Learn how animals use their unique stompers and develop the skill to identify animals based off of their tracks! Classes generally include a craft, hike, and activity for the week’s theme. We spend time outdoors each week, so come dressed in layers and waterproof shoes.

This program is intended for children ages 3-5. Younger siblings are welcome to attend with a parent, but we ask that they do not participate in activities.  Adult attendance and preregistration required- walk ins will not be allowed

Borscht Belt: The Comic Legacy of the Catskills, MCLS

Virtual event. The Jewish Catskill resorts of the 20th century were a summer paradise for millions. Legends such as Mel Brooks, Sid Caesar, Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, and Jackie Mason honed their craft entertaining guests at iconic resorts like Grossinger’s, Brown’s, The Concord, Kutsher’s, and The Nevele. Entertainment historian John Kenrick presents a lively, multimedia talk exploring this comic tradition, featuring video clips and behind-the-scenes stories from the golden age of Borscht Belt comedy.
