Trenton, NJ — This weekend marks the launch of The Summer of TCAT, a season-long celebration of the Trenton Community A-Team's 25th anniversary. Kicking things off are two major events: a retrospective exhibition at the Trenton Free Public Library and participation in the city's beloved Art All Night.
From the Streets to the Studio: 25 Years of A-TEAM Art
June 28 – August 16, 2025
Trenton Free Public Library Gallery
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 28, 12:00–2:00 p.m.
Presented by Trenton Community A-Team in partnership with the Trenton Artists Workshop Association (TAWA) and the Trenton Free Public Library, From the Streets to the Studio celebrates 25 years of creativity, resilience, and growth.
The exhibition showcases artwork by both longtime and emerging TCAT artists, tracing the organization's evolution from informal gatherings at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen in 2000 to its current home at Studio 51 on North Stockton Street. More than just paintings or drawings, the pieces on view reflect the life stories, challenges, and dreams of a community of self-taught artists who have found purpose and healing through their craft.
"From the Streets to the Studio" honors the power of art to uplift voices that have too often gone unheard. This exhibit marks the first in a series of events designed to share TCAT's impact with the wider community throughout the summer.
