YA author Anica Mrose Rissi discusses her latest novel, "Girl Reflected in Knife," with author Emily XR Pan and the library's Teen Advisory Board. Community Room

The author is joined by library public humanities specialist Cliff Robinson to discuss her new book "True Color: The Strange and Spectacular Quest to Define Color-from Azure to Zinc Pink." Community Room

The author, a noted food writer and podcaster, discusses her culinary memoir "Care and Feeding" with writer Daria Lavelle at this Book Brunch event. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. for coffee and pastries. The event begins at 11 a.m. Community Room

Tuesday, April 21, 3 p.m.

Disney's 2018 live-action, animated film, inspired by A.A. Milne's "Winnie the Pooh," is screened in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the beloved children's classic. Community Room

 

“Come See Me in the Good Light”

Wednesday, April 22, 5 p.m.

This documentary follows poets and couple Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley as they experience the joy and sorrow of what may be their final year together. Registration requested.

Pulitzer Prize–winning historian Annette Gordon-Reed, joined by Eddie Glaude, discusses her book "Jefferson on Race," examining his ideals of equality and his contradictory life as a slaveholder at this ticketed event held at Nassau Presbyterian Church.
