Every year, Mill Hill residents open their gates to share the private green sanctuaries tucked behind one of the city’s most beautiful historic neighborhoods. This year’s garden tour is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday in the very city where the tide of the Revolution turned. Just steps from the site of the Battle of Trenton, more than 20 private gardens and public spaces—from intimate courtyards to lush backyard retreats—will welcome visitors for a rare behind-the-scenes look at the neighborhood. Whether you’re a garden lover, history enthusiast, architecture buff, or simply looking for a charming day out, the Mill Hill Garden Tour offers a unique chance to explore the creativity and beauty hidden behind Trenton’s historic streets.

The Big Sit - Not Your Average Picnic

You’re invited to sit, play, snack, and connect at this great gingham gathering. This isn’t your kids’ after-school picnic or a sad family reunion in Toledo, but the best way to meet your neighbors, swap recipes, blow bubbles, and discover your picnic personality. Choose your own adventure: pack a pop tart or elevate the picnic experience with an elaborate set-up. Whether it’s a bucket of fried chicken, Japanese takeout, or a homemade, fancy five-course meal, it’s all good at THE BIG SIT. Bring along board games, cards, books, beach balls, hula hoops, sketchbooks, embroidery, kids, well behaved dogs — we just ask that you keep it screen-free. We’re going analog here, people!

You’ll find us in Community Park South on Saturday, June 6 from 12-3pm. If we need it, the Rain Date is the following day, Sunday, June 7, at the same time.

Spring Winery Weekend Music Series @Terhune's

Join family and friends for our winery weekend music series this Spring. It is the perfect way to relax, connect, and toast the new season. Enjoy a glass of one of our award-winning wines, sit back, and listen to live music from local artists each week. Styles range from Jazz and Blues to Folk and Rock. The music is from 1 pm-4 pm. Light fare is available.

Bring the entire family to enjoy fresh air on the farm, stop in the farm store for fresh produce, baked goods, and local gourmet items, and stroll on the farm. Barn Door Cafe is open on weekends for lunch fare, homemade treats, and ice cream. Winery hours 12 pm-5 pm. No outside food or pets, please. Luce Quintet is a chamber music group consisting of two violins, a viola, a cello, and a double bass. Current students at Montgomery High School, Luce Quintet's mission is to cultivate joy and community through music by providing free, diverse performances to all age groups. They will be performing soundtracks from popular movies including Interstellar, The Godfather, and James Bond.

This hilarious jukebox musical features some of the most unforgettable songs of the disco era. including "Knock on Wood," "Hooked on a Feeling," "Sky High," "I Am Woman," and "Hot Stuff."

 

Sondra Radvanovsky, The Princeton Festival

World-renowned bel canto soprano Sondra Radvanovsky performs popular opera arias and duets accompanied by the Princeton Symphony Orchestra. The diva has invited tenor Victor Starsky, who sang the role of Cavaradossi in last year’s Festival performance of Puccini’s Tosca, to join her for this very special gala performance conducted by Maestro Rossen Milanov.
