Welcome to YO! Online,
featuring the YO! Directory, Youth Opportunities
in the City of Trenton, New Jersey
The 1998 YO! Directory of Youth Opportunities is a detailed listing of programs for
young people in Trenton, New Jersey. It was published in hard copy (book) form in
December 1997 under the auspices of the Trenton Youth Services Commission of the
City of Trenton. Mea Kaemmerlen, a volunteer, researched and wrote the book. Her
[button] Introduction gives more information about the creation of the book and those
who made it possible.
In the main section, [button] Youth Organizations, over 175 programs are described
representing 70 different organizations. During the summer of 1997, questionnaires
were sent to groups serving Trenton. Over 70 organizations responded with an amazing
variety of activities for Trenton's youthful residents: in-school and after-school
programs, recreation, tutoring, community service, theater, dance, summer camps,
job-training, enrichment, discussion groups, computer training, and much more. The
information in the YO! Directory reflects how the organizations describe their own
programs. Inclusion in YO! does not imply endorsement.
To make searching through these programs easier, there is a [button] YO! Cross Reference
section where programs are listed by the following categories:
Academic/Cultural
Recreational

In addition to the descriptions of Youth Organizations, YO! has a complete listing
of [button] Schools in the Trenton-area, and [button] Trenton Day Care Programs,
both public and private, in the Trenton area.
