Annual Mill Hill Garden Tour

Saturday June 6, 2026
12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Annual Mill Hill Garden Tour with a historic twist! Enjoy beautiful private gardens & jump on a trolley to visit Trenton historic sites. Step behind the historic facades of Trenton and discover the hidden gardens of Mill Hill!

Every year, Mill Hill residents open their gates to share the private green sanctuaries tucked behind one of the city’s most beautiful historic neighborhoods. This year’s garden tour is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday in the very city where the tide of the Revolution turned. Just steps from the site of the Battle of Trenton, more than 20 private gardens and public spaces—from intimate courtyards to lush backyard retreats—will welcome visitors for a rare behind-the-scenes look at the neighborhood. Whether you’re a garden lover, history enthusiast, architecture buff, or simply looking for a charming day out, the Mill Hill Garden Tour offers a unique chance to explore the creativity and beauty hidden behind Trenton’s historic streets.

Trent House Community Celebration

Saturday June 6, 2026
12:00 PM - 6:00 PM

The Trent House Association is hosting a community celebration of our nation's founding and the anniversary of the Trent House Museum with ice cream, music, crafts and games, and history on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12 noon to 6 pm. The Trent House opened as a museum on June 1, 1939, and in 2026 it is expanding its annual Ice Cream Social anniversary event in partnership with Trenton Puerto Rican Community & Friends. On June 6, 2026, ice cream will be served between 12 noon and 3 pm accompanied by live cuatro and drumming performances. At 3 pm, students from The College of New Jersey will be joined by a Trenton couple whose story of the Great Migration from South Carolina to Trenton will be presented - "A Love Story that Traveled Time and Space." From 4 to 6 pm visitors can enjoy relaxing to the swing tunes of Ms. Jacque Johnson's Sidewalk Swing jazz group while walking the grounds and viewing the new interpretive signs.

The Trent House event is free, and all are welcome. Plenty of free parking is available behind the Trent House property at 15 Market Street in Trenton, New Jersey.
