West Windsor Community Farmers Market

Opening Day of the West Windsor Community Farmers Market’s eighteenth year begins Saturday, May 1. To keep everyone safe and distanced, the entrance to the market has changed to 877 Alexander Road through the upper Vaughn Lot. The Market will run each and every Saturday, rain or shine from 9am-1pm until Thanksgiving featuring seventeen farms and twenty artisan food makers and a knife sharpener, all from within fifty-miles of West Windsor. 

Joining the roster this year are three farms: Moonshot Farms, Snapping Turtle Farm, and SpiceBush Farm along with Catalina Empanadas, Pure Indian Foods, River Horse Brewery, Sourland Mountain Spirits, Tea-For-All. Look for more organic produce, East Asian vegetables, beer, local spirits, and grass-fed ghee. Mask wearing continues to be required by all, and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout.

Pennington Farmers Market

The Pennington Farmer’s Market is located at: Rosedale Mills 101 Route 31 North Pennington, NJ 08534

We are open every Saturday, 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. beginning in June and ending in October.

The mission of the Pennington Farmers Market is to provide growers and producers within fifty miles of Pennington, New Jersey an opportunity to sell directly to the public; to promote the nutritional, environmental, and community health benefits of sustainable living; and to create a unique atmosphere in which to appreciate the agriculture, arts, culture, and character of Hopewell Valley. Mercer County 4-H Fair & Wheat Threshing

The Mercer County 4-H fair includes animal shows and exhibits, homemade ice cream, hay rides, pony rides, music, magic shows, and farm tours. Check out displays by the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County, Mercer County Wildlife Center Friends, Mid-State Beekeepers Association, and many more! Free admission and parking for all; please bring a non-perishable food donation for Rutgers Against Hunger.

On Saturday, Howell Farm’s 2021 wheat sheaves will be fully dried and ready to be “threshed” to separate the grain and straw. Demonstrations will take place in the barnyard between 11:00 and 3:00 – with visitors helping to “winnow” the threshed grain to clean it, separating the wheat from the chaff and preparing it for grinding.

Stony Brook Walking Tour, Historical Society of Princeton

Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road, Princeton

Before there was a “Princeton,” six Quaker families established a community on the fertile ground along Stony Brook. This 2-mile hike explores the lives of the early settlers and the community they established, while following a portion of the trail George Washington took from Trenton to the Princeton Battlefield. Stops include the Stony Brook Meeting House and Burial Ground, walking a portion of the “hidden” back road into Princeton, and a view of the Battlefield.

Starts at the Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road. Tickets are $10. Advanced tickets required – no walk ups will be allowed.

Space is limited to 12 participants. Masks are required for indoor portions of the tour. If participants have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of the tour, we ask that they stay home and contact us for a full refund. Guides are fully vaccinated and only lead tours if they are symptom-free.

Little Red Riding Hood, Music Mountain Theatre

The three blind mice? Goldilocks and the three bears? Or does the Big Bad Wolf have some other tricks up his sleeve?

Bug Hunting, Tulpehaking Nature Center

The Best of the Eagle, Mercer County Park

The Best of the Eagles are back for a summer night at the Festival Grounds. Each member mirrors his counterpart in the Eagles instrumentally and vocally. However, this is no simple copy band or impersonator act but rather a group of excellent musicians who expertly and authentically re-create the songs, the music, the vocals and the magical aura of one of America’s greatest rock bands. Opening for the Best of the Eagles will be Reock and Roll Review featuring Tom Reock and Ernie White will be performing the music of Jackson Brown and Linda Ronstadt.

Guests welcomed to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and pack coolers with sealed bottles of water. No glass bottles. Dates, times, and locations are subject to change. Parking and admission are free.

Brass on the Lawn, Princeton Symphonic Brass

The Princeton Symphonic Brass, under the baton of Lawrence Kursar, will present "Brass on the Lawn" on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 7:00 PM live and IN PERSON, in the quad OUTSIDE of Hillman Hall on the campus of Westminster Choir College, 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton, New Jersey. This program will showcase American classics, the music of Broadway and film music done in an upbeat style!
