Sunday, 10/15, 2:00PM-4:00PM: Opening Reception: "Poetic Spaces" Art Exhibition at Stuart, 1200 Stuart Road, Princeton. Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart announces the fall gallery exhibition in Stuart’s Considine Gallery will include paintings by Susan Hoenig and Darrell Roberts, as well as photographs by Klaus W. Eisenlohr. The exhibition titled, Poetic Space, explores the relationships between space, the environment, time and the sublime. Poetic Space will be on display in Stuart’s Considine Gallery, from October 15 through November 21, 2017. The gallery is open to the public from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, when school is in session. The public is invited to the Opening Reception on Sunday, October 15, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and Gallery Talk with the artists on Tuesday, October 17, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM . John Witherspoon Middle School (JW) invites everyone to kick off the 2017- 18 school year and have fun with friends and neighbors at its annual “Super Saturday”. This carnival - like event will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 11 am to 3 pm. The family - friendly event is JW’s largest fundraiser and draws crowds from the entire Princeton community. Sunday, 10/15, 8:00AM-9:30AM: Fall Photography Workshop and Walk at the Mountain Lakes Preserve, 30 Mountain Ave, Princeton, NJ. Join nature photographer Linda Park on a walking tour of the Mountain Lakes Preserve. This 90-minute walk and workshop will explore natural light photography and the secrets for capturing the beauty of nature in fall. The workshop will begin at the Mountain Lakes House where Linda will show some of her fall photographs of the Preserve as examples of how to use natural light, frame a photograph, and find the right vantage point. She will then guide us on a photography walk around the lake — stopping to discuss different viewpoints and how to see the photo before you take the shot. Linda will show us some of her favorite secret photo spots and provide a handout of other prime fall photo spots in the Preserve. $20 per person.
