Friday, 12/15, 7:30 PM: Hopewell Valley Chorus Concert, St. James Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave, Pennington, NJ. The Hopewell Valley Chorus will present its annual holiday concert, "Deck the Halls," on Friday, December 15, at 7:30 p.m. Artistic Director Heather Mitchell will lead a program featuring a wide range of songs---sacred and secular, classical and contemporary, unusual and familiar--- by composers including Mozart, Busto, and PDQ Bach, Jerry Herman and LeRoy Anderson. Before and after the concert, the audience is invited to shop at a jewelry sale and bid on a handmade quilt or a set of Lenox dinnerware. Friday, 12/15, 7:30 PM: Nutcracker, American Repertory Ballet, State Theater, 15 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick. $35 to $75.American Repertory Ballet brings the beloved classic Nutcracker to the stage with Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, thrilling choreography and a cast of more than 100. A holiday tradition for more than 50 years (1964), American Repertory Ballet’s Nutcracker is one of the longest, continuously running Nutcracker productions in the nation. Directed by Artistic Director Douglas Martin, ARB’s professional company will be joined by select students from Princeton Ballet School to tell the story of a young girl named Clara and how a mysterious gift from her Uncle Drosselmeyer brings about enchanted dreams and fantastical scenes. Saturday, 12/16, 8:00 PM: Eastern Wind Symphony Holiday Concert, Performing Arts Center at Montgomery High School, Skillman. Join us for an audience favorite: the EWS holiday concert.
