New Jersey's Capital city is ready for a week-long celebration of our nation's 250th birthday - Heritage Week, July 4 - 8, 2026 will highlight Trenton's central role in the American Revolution as well as its cultural diversity and future potential. On tap are a July 4th parade of over 30 marching units (so far) through the site of the 1776 Battle of Trenton ending at a festival in historic Mill Hill Park - food, vendors, an escape room, soccer clinic and the "Democracy Reborn" stage program throughout the afternoon are just a few of the attractions. A visitors' center at 1 West State Street - the site of Washington's reception in 1789 -- will guide visitors to historic sites throughout the City, including the newly restored Old Barracks and the William Trent House.
