Hank Bristol is no stranger to the Present Day Club. His mother Louise Bristol was a long-time member. Hank, having endured four years of Barkley Dance classes at the PDC in the 1960s as a pre-teen, returned in the early ’80s to display his early seascapes in watercolor. Then, in the ’90s, as a more seasoned artist, he was welcomed for a second show, which nearly sold out! Now, as a "third act," Hank returns this year, in late February through March, for a solo display of his current work.
Please consider joining us on February 27th (5-7 PM) for his Opening Reception, or stop in anytime in March!
Hank Bristol grew up sailing and swimming at the Jersey shore. In college, he was on the sailing team, and also studied art history and black and white photography. In graduate school, he studied architecture in Italy and Virginia. His current work reflects abstract value studies as well as realistic coastal scenes. His shows, both group and individual, have ranged from New Jersey to Maine. Most recently, he has shown at the Princeton Nassau Club (2024). Hank is an ordained deacon (Episcopal) and retired middle school teacher.
