Fabric, Stories, & Memory Exhibition Opens at the Trent House Museum

Trenton, NJ (For immediate release) — On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the Trent House Museum opens its Fabric, Stories, & Memory exhibition, featuring textiles from African, Caribbean and Central American, and Ukrainian cultures as well as modern fabric art. The exhibition is free and open to the public on Wednesdays through Sundays from 1:00 to 4:30 pm during March.
Accompanying the exhibitions is a series of free talks and workshops, thanks to the generous support of Ellen and Schuyler Morehouse of Hopewell, New Jersey. The Fabric, Stories, & Memory schedule includes:
- Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm: “Bi-lingual Workshop: Creating a Collective Storytelling Textile” with Gabrielle Vasquez (registration required at https://tinyurl.com/VazquezWorkshop)
- Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2 pm: “Bi-lingual Zoom Talk: Diasporican Queens: A Community Celebration of Fabric Artistry” with Gabrielle Vasquez (Zoom link at https://tinyurl.com/Vazquez)
- Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm: “Workshop: Making a Take-Home Memory Book” with Beverly Keese-Kelley (families welcome – registration required at https://tinyurl.com/BeverlyK-KWkshop)
- Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2 pm: “Talk: Telling Our Families’ Stories – Heirloom Quilts” with members of Princeton Sankofa Stitchers
