Summer Arts Passport & Drama Camps and Summer Arts Studios Camp Registration Now Open at Arts Council of Princeton

Registration for the Arts Council of Princeton’s Summer Arts Passport & Drama Camp for ages 4-12 at the Princeton Junior School (last two weeks are held at the Robeson Center) and Summer Arts Studios for ages 10-16 at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts is now open. Camps begin the week of June 20, 2011 and run through August 26, 2011. The scholarship deadline for summer camp is June 6; the scholarship application is available on the Arts Council website. Before and after care options are also available.

The Arts Council of Princeton’s weekly summer camp program allows campers to create their own works of art and participate in special workshops based on each week’s unique theme. A large variety of visual art materials will be explored. Each week campers will learn about various artists and periods in art history, enriching their total art experience. Registration is open to the general public, with special discounts available for Arts Council of Princeton members. The Paul Robeson Center is located at 102 Witherspoon Street across from the Princeton Public Library in downtown Princeton, NJ. The Princeton Junior School is located at 90 Fackler Road, Lawrence, NJ. For a full description of camps and to register, view our complete catalogue at www.artscouncilofprinceton.org.

Families may register for classes online, in person, or by calling (609) 924-8777.  Summer camp begins the week of June 20th and is open to the general public.  Students do not have to be Princeton residents to take camp and membership is not required to enroll, but ACP members do receive benefits such as discounts on registration fees. Full information about membership is available on the ACP website. Here are some highlights from the Arts Council of Princeton’s 2011 summer camps:
