PENNINGTON, NJ – February 17, 2011 – Stony Brook Assisted Living hosted eight of Pennington’s most popular restaurants last week in a tasting sampler and fundraiser that collected $500.00 in donations for the Hopewell Valley Senior Foundation.
The popular “A Taste of Pennington” event, held February 8, drew 100 guests who donated $5.00 each to sample menu favorites from Emily’s Café, Vito’s Pizza, Barone’s Tuscany Grill, TJ’s Trattoria, Pennington Quality Market, Wildflowers Restaurant, Cugino’s Italian Specialties, Pennington Bagel and the Stony Brook kitchen.
“The community came together to have a great time and support a great cause,” said Ellen Moyle, Stony Brook Executive Director. “This is an event with great momentum that is growing every year.”
Guests sampled a variety of foods ranging from tuna carpaccio to pizza, eggplant caponata and smoked pork ribs.
