Waldorf School of Princeton: Childhood as Nature Intended
With half-, full-, and extended-day options, Waldorf School of Princeton strives to meet the changing needs of today’s family, while providing a warm, homelike environment for your little one.
Our Children’s Garden offers a natural, nurturing transition from home to school, with programs that emphasize direct sensory experience and meaningful activity while preserving a young child’s sense of wonder and capacity for imagination.
Our early childhood teachers are trained in Waldorf education, and lay the foundation for formalized instruction by cultivating the children’s physical, social, and cognitive skills. To this end, the young children sing, paint, sew, bake, hammer, and saw; transform chairs and cloth into ships and castles; and build and garden with their friends outside.
When they are ready to move on to first grade, the Waldorf School of Princeton grade school meets the developmental stages of the growing child with a curriculum that integrates the human capacities of thinking (head), willing (hands), and feeling (heart).
The Waldorf School of Princeton, part of an independent educational movement of over 1,000 schools worldwide, is dedicated to recognizing the unique spirit of each child.
