IB Candidate School Takes Home Top Core Values Award
SOMERSET, NJ — Cedar Hill Prep's Wildcats robotics team brought home the prestigious Gracious Professionalism Core Values Award at the First Lego League (FLL) Robotics Qualifier held at Bound Brook High School on Sunday, November 23, 2025. The Somerset County private school competed against 23 teams from across New Jersey in this highly competitive STEM tournament.
The Cedar Hill Prep team excelled in all four competition categories: Robot Design, Robot Game, Innovation Project, and Core Values—demonstrating the school's commitment to excellence in robotics education and STEM learning.
Award Recognizes IB Learner Profile Attributes
The Gracious Professionalism Core Values Award is one of FLL's most distinguished honors. According to FLL judges, "This award celebrates a team that made significant progress in their confidence and capability in Robot Game and Innovation Project and are a shining example of excellent Core Values. They demonstrate that they understand that what they discover is more important than what they win."

Representing Cedar Hill Prep at the tournament were: Afzaal Mohamed, Yajur Subramaniam, Shivad Desai, Aiden Betancourt, Nyle Thaver, Snehal Nadella, Jonathan Li, Dylan Lee, and James Nguyen.
