Your Friendly Math Tutor is not a franchise or corporate test-prep center. We’re a small, community-focused team that has worked with students across New Jersey and beyond. Being local means we understand the demands of area schools, and being small means we can get to know our families personally.

We’re passionate about seeing our students succeed—not just on the SAT^®, but in how they see themselves as learners. Watching a student go from “I’m not a math person” to “I can do this!” is the heart of what we do.

SAT^® Test Prep That Works

The SAT^® is a milestone for many high school students, and the math section in particular can be a source of stress. That’s why we’ve developed a comprehensive SAT^® Math Test Prep program that goes beyond drills and memorization. Our students learn how to approach problems strategically, use Desmos effectively, manage pacing, and avoid common test-day pitfalls.

In addition to structured SAT^® courses leading up to each exam date, we also offer a free weekly online SAT^® Math Office Hour where students can bring questions and get live help. Families can also find free resources on our YouTube channel and TikTok, where we break down real SAT^® problems and share test-taking strategies.

Beyond the SAT^®: One-on-One Tutoring for Math & More

Of course, test prep isn’t all we do. Our tutors also support students in subjects ranging from middle school math through advanced college courses. We regularly help with AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science, in addition to ongoing support for school coursework and homework help.

Every new student begins with a free first session—an opportunity to meet their tutor, get a feel for our teaching style, and set personalized goals. From there, students continue with the same tutor for consistency, which helps build both trust and progress over time.
