Princeton Tree Removal Instructions - As of January 1, 2026, Princeton’s updated Tree Removal Ordinance (No. 25-19) requires a permit to remove any tree measuring 6 inches in diameter (DBH) or greater—lowering the previous threshold and expanding protections for the community’s tree canopy. The ordinance also increases application fees for removing healthy trees and strengthens tree replacement requirements based on tree size. Residents are encouraged to review the updated requirements and check with the municipal arborist before beginning any tree removal work. Read more about Tree Removal Instructions HERE

From an acclaimed historian, a revelatory account of the Declaration of Independence, centered not on the lofty preamble but on the specific grievances that make up the bulk of the document and that offer an entirely new view into the Revolutionary era. We think of the Declaration of Independence as timeless. We know the sacred phrases: “all men are created equal,” “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” “self-evident truths,” “certain inalienable rights.” These are some of the most important words human beings have ever written. And they are all from the Declaration’s preamble, which has inspired people for centuries, including generations of revolutionaries all over the world. Click here for more information
