The Food Scraps Program is Growing! On March 5, the Princeton Food Scraps Drop-Off Program expanded to three new locations with new, user-friendly bins! After three weeks, the program now serves 314 residents and spots at each location are filling quickly! The program is now diverting over 2 tons of food waste from landfill each month. Mercer County Bike Drive April 12
Do you have a bike that you no longer use? Maybe you have one your child has outgrown? Consider donating it for a good cause. The Mercer County Planning Department and the Mercer County Park Commission are hosting a bike drive for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Club Bike Exchange. This non-profit run by 50 volunteers collects, conditions, and sells used, quality bikes to people in the Trenton and Mercer County area.

The Princeton Environmental Film Festival April 4 – 13
Founded in 2007, the festival’s mission is to share exceptional documentary films and to engage the community in exploring environmental sustainability from a wide range of perspectives.
Screenings are free and often accompanied by a Q&A with directors and producers and talks by invited speakers. The festival also presents related events with community partners to provide opportunities to participate in sustainable actions and initiatives year-round.
As the festival evolves and its sustainability is considered, organizers are mindful of expanding its reach while maintaining its identity as a meaningful local event. Screenings are at the Sands Library Building, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton and virtually.

Johnson Trolley Trail Corridor Study
Mercer County and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) are conducting a concept development study of the Johnson Trolley Trail Corridor. This study will identify a preferred route to connect and extend the two existing trail segments and create a single bicycle & pedestrian path running from Trenton, through Ewing and Lawrence, and ending in Princeton.Your input helps us create better outdoor spaces for our community. Mercer County Announces 2025 Summer Concert Series with New Season Pass - County Executive Dan Benson announced that the Mercer County Park Commission's Summer Concert Series will kick off its 2025 season on July 11. The popular Friday evening concerts continue to be a bargain at just $5 per-ticket, with the addition of a new limited-time season pass option access to all concerts for just $25.The introduction of free parking last year made the concerts more accessible than ever, leading to record attendance. This year, residents can get an even better deal with the season pass, which will include tickets to every concert, preferred parking, fast-pass entry, and exclusive perks throughout the season.The series is open to everyone, and children twelve-and-under will be admitted free-of-charge.

At the end of the hunt, guests can choose to do a bunny craft activity and meet the real Terhune bunnies. Everyone gets a prize at the end of the trail. 4/21 - Meeting, The Women's College Club of the Princeton, 1-3pm., Morven Museum Stockton Educational Center 55 Stockton St, Princeton NJ. This month's talk is titled Women in Baseball: The 24-Hours for Africa Baseball Game in 2003 presented by Cathy Kreyche , an independent editor, writer, and researcher.In 2002, the HIV/AIDs epidemic had claimed millions lives worldwide. Women baseball players from Japan, the US, and Australia came together in Tucson, Arizona over the weekend of October 16–17, 2003 to play baseball for 24 hours. Their goal was to raise funds to support the organization U.S. Doctors for Africa. The 24-hour game highlighted the love of playing baseball shared across generations, geography, and gender. This presentation provides a snapshot of the game and shows its impact on the players, including the presenter, who was one of the women fortunate to be a part of this once-in-a lifetime event. 4/25 - Tending Good Soil: A Conversation with Jeff Chu and Krista Tippett, 7-8:30pm., In his late thirties, Jeff Chu left his job as a magazine writer and found himself at Princeton Theological Seminary’s “Farminary”—a twenty-one-acre working farm where students learn to cultivate the earth while examining life’s biggest questions.
