Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra (GPYO) will be holding auditions on May 9, June 12, and June 13. Auditions and rehearsals are held at Montgomery High School in Skillman, NJ. GPYO is looking for elementary through high school students in Central New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, especially students who play double reeds, brass, and double bass. Camp HLC Takes Place May 18 - 20 - Camp HLC will take place at Fairview Lake, YMCA in Stillwater, NJ from May 18-20 and we have room for more campers! Hope Loves Company (HLC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emotional and educational support to children and young adults who have been affected by ALS. ALS is a motor neuron disease which causes the death of motor neurons and nerve cells, affecting a person's ability to walk, talk, chew, and breathe. There is no known cure and it is a terminal illness. Children and young adults often become caregivers to family members affected by ALS but there is a lack of resources and support available to them. Hope Loves Company is the only organization with the unique mission to support these caregivers! Camp HLC is free of charge and is a wonderful opportunity for children and young adults affected by ALS to come together to build friendships, have fun, and feel less alone in their challenges. www.hopelovescompany.org

Hunterdon Medical Center offers Free Depression Screenings - Hunterdon Medical Center is pleased to offer free, confidential, depression screenings throughout the month of May, in the Hunterdon Behavioral Health Department, located on the fifth floor of the hospital, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, New Jersey. In 2016, approximately 16 million adults in the U.S. suffered from depression. Depression is not something to be embarrassed about and is often very treatable once diagnosed. This is an opportunity for community members to speak one on one with a professional and get their questions answered. 6/2 - Historic Stony Brook: Gateway to Princeton History, Historical Society of Princeton, Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road, Princeton, 609-921-6748. 1 p.m., Hike exploring the lives of Princeton's early settlers, while following a portion of the trail George Washington took from Trenton to the Princeton Battlefield. Stops include the Stony Brook Meeting House and Burial Ground, walking a portion of the "hidden" back road into Princeton, and a view of the Battlefield. $5., www.princetonhistory.org

6/3 - Rock Brook Celebration ... An Afternoon of Wine & Chocolate. 2:30 -5:30 pm at Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Rd, Princeton. This fun-filled afternoon includes wine and chocolate tasting while learning about the history of Terhune Orchards and Carol's Creative Chocolatez, live music, light snacks, auction and 50/50 raffle drawing.
