Blue Moon Acres Farm Market in Pennington Opens April 18
Farm Market Offering Certified Organic Produce, Rice, Microgreens, and Local, Organic Products
Blue Moon Acres Farm Market will open for the season beginning on Friday April 18th. The farm market will be open on Fridays 9am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm until December.
Blue Moon Acres’ mission is to offer the most nutritious organically-grown produce and locally-sourced favorites. Owners Jim and Kathy Lyons have provided organic food to restaurants for thirty four years and want to offer it to their neighbors as well. The market ‘brings the community to the farm and gives the customer a farm experience… to see what plants look like growing in a field and to cut their own flowers,” states Kathy. The Lyons’ want to provide a direct relationship between consumers and the producers of their food.
The Blue Moon Acres Farm Market, located on Blue Moon’s Pennington farm at 11 Willow Creek Drive, will feature a cut-your-own flower garden, launching in June. Inside the geothermally heated and cooled building will be a selection of Blue Moon-grown Certified Organic produce, micro greens, eggs, rice, our own line of Herbarium body care products made with herbs grown on the farm, as well as an array of products from other local vendors. New this year: Cherry Grove Farm and Doublebrook Farm meats, Cherry Grove Farm cheeses, Otolith sustainable seafood, and Bent Spoon ice cream.
Customers may also sign up for a subscription produce box for weekly pickup at the farm or delivery to their home. We offer our boxes containing Certified Organic produce and fruits year-round!
The Farm Market is open Fridays from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM. More information and updates are posted to Blue Moon Acres Facebook and Instagram pages.
