Princeton Public Library has received more than $3,400 from jaZams of Princeton in support of September’s sixth annual Princeton Children’s Book Festival. A check was presented to Executive Director Leslie Burger and librarian Allison Santos, coordinator of the festival, by Joanne Farrugia and Dean Smith of jaZams.
The Palmer Square store known for its creative and enriching selection of toys and books handled book sales during the festival, and the gift represents 20 percent of sales made that day. The funds will be used to enhance the library’s children’s department.
“We are very grateful to jaZams for both their participation and generous gift,” said Santos. “They played a major role in the success of the festival this year.”
More than 60 children’s authors and illustrators appeared at this year’s Princeton Children’s Book Festival, a well attended community event that has grown to be one of the largest of its kind on the East Coast.
