Unruly Sounds Festival, Hinds Plaza

Unruly Sounds, now in its ninth year, returns to Hinds Plaza for an afternoon of music. Mika Godbole of Mantra Percussion curates this annual celebration of original music from Princeton University’s graduate music program and other area-based musicians. The all-day event features a wide variety of post classical/contemporary grooves. As in past years, the festival promises to keep to its tradition of highlighting fresh sounds and new compositions. Festival-goers are encouraged to walk around, sit and eat and experience the music in a relaxed atmosphere — dancing is encouraged! The festival's primary objective is to pair new compositions and original music with a casual ambience to encourage accessibility and dialogue between composers and the community.
