Mercer County Library System to Host Book Festival at Lawrence Headquarters Branch

Mercer County, NJ — The Mercer County Library System invites readers and authors of all ages to celebrate books, stories, and creativity at its inaugural Book Festival, taking place on Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch, located at 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ.

This lively festival will bring together local and regional authors to share their expertise and inspiration through engaging panel discussions focused on writing and publishing across different genres. Visitors will have the chance to hear authors talk about their latest books, ask questions, and connect with the people behind the stories they love.

In addition to the author panels, the festival will feature crafts, activities, and kid-friendly performances, making it a fun and enriching day for the whole family.

"Whether you're an aspiring writer, an avid reader, or just looking for a delightful community event, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at the Book Festival," said Mercer County Executive Dan Benson. "We're excited for this opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate our shared love of the written word and the infinite creativity that it makes possible."

Mercer County Library System to Host Book Festival

Mercer County, NJ — January 15, 2025 — Mercer County Library System invites local authors to participate in its inaugural Book Festival, to be held on Saturday, September 27 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch, 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrence, NJ. This celebration of literature and storytelling brings together authors, readers, and literary enthusiasts throughout Mercer County (and beyond!) Whether you are an established author or an emerging voice, the Book Festival offers a unique platform to share your stories and inspire others.

"We're so excited to share our plans for the first Mercer County Book Festival," said County Executive Dan Benson. "This event will bring together the diverse authors and storytellers in our community to share their work and discuss their craft."

Local authors and writing groups of all backgrounds and genres are invited to apply to host tables at the festival. Applications will be accepted from January 15 to March 15. Accepted participants should anticipate a $35 table fee. If accepted, authors will be notified by April 15. Applications are available on the library's web site at https://mcl.org/mcls-book-festival-2025/.

            The Book Festival will feature panels about writing and publishing in different genres, authors discussing their books, and plenty of crafts and kid-friendly performances.
