Outdoor Yoga at Updike Farmstead

It is wonderful to take our practice outdoors to Historical Society of Princeton’s lovely Updike Farmstead on Quaker Road on Wednesdays at 6 pm on 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, and 6/24. Our donation-based all-levels Vinyasa Flow classes are open to all skill levels. We look forward to being together at the close of the day and lifting up our intentions. In the event of rain,we can take our yoga practice indoors into the property’s beautifully restored 18th century farmhouse overlooking the fields. Please use the paved driveway - not the gravel one- when entering from Quaker Road. Kindly bring along a yoga mat, a water bottle, and anything that will make you comfortable for an outdoor practice.

ACP DIY: Bouquets with That Girl with Flowers

Arrange your own summery bouquet! During this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll supply seasonal blooms for you to arrange under the tutilage of Hafsa of That Girl with Flowers. Perfect to gift to a loved one or keep for yourself! Instruction, materials, and tools are provided. Bring some friends or come on your own to meet fellow art-lovers during this creative night on the town. Feel free to bring a beverage and/or a snack to enjoy during the lesson. Save your spot.

Princeton Comic Makers presents: JERSEY ART MEETUPS (JAM), a weekly social event connecting creatives within the greater Central Jersey area through a shared passion for sequential art and new media. Attendees may use this open workshop space to draw, write, and develop their own artwork, with an opportunity to receive peer review and feedback from other members if desired. Illustrators, animators, writers, and generalists are all welcome to join and discuss their art and career goals, share learning resources, promote current projects, or find friends and collaborators. Together, we aspire to cultivate a local community that keeps artists motivated towards achieving their dreams!

Red Barn Film Premiere: Ledger, Betty Wold Johnson Hillside Farm Preserve

D&R Greenway Land Trust invites the community to a special event at the Betty Wold Johnson Hillside Farm Preserve for the Red Barn Film Premiere, an evening under the stars celebrating history, preservation, and the stories held within the land. Guests will gather at the historic Betty Wold Johnson Hillside Farm Preserve in Hopewell, New Jersey, for the world premiere of Ledger, a short documentary directed by local filmmaker Zachary Smith. The film explores this landscape in the days before the Battle of Monmouth, when an encampment of roughly 12,000 — soldiers and the women, children, and laborers who traveled with them — covered the fields on and around the farm of John Hart, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Today, those same farm fields are preserved as part of Hillside Farm Preserve, connecting visitors directly to the landscape where history unfolded nearly 250 years ago.
