Listen Up! Exhibit Opening, PSO & Princeton Area Middle Schoolers

Saturday April 18, 2026
2:00 PM

On Saturday, April 18 at 2pm, area middle school artists and writers will gather at the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's opening of this year's BRAVO! Listen Up! Exhibition. The students' artistry will be on display at Adriana Groza's Spring Street art studio for viewing by friends, family, and the general public through May 3.

The students responded creatively to composer Andreia Pinto Correia's Cipre?s, performed by the PSO under the direction of Maestro Rossen Milanov this past January. Beforehand, the students attended a creativity workshop led by April Zay, a multidisciplinary artist and founding member of Princeton Makes Artist Co-operative. At the workshop, Zay highlighted well-known visual artists who created works in response to music and guided the students in their artistic reflections. Andreia Pinto Correia and Rossen Milanov discussed the characters and emotions they would experience while listening to Cipre?s. Over the course of several weeks, the students gave form to their own creative ideas in writing and visual art.
