The Municipalities of Hopewell Township, Pennington Boro, Lawrence Township and Princeton are developing one regional plan for the Stony Brook Watersheds instead of each municipality developing their own plan. The municipalities are required by their New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection stormwater permits to develop plans to reduce pollution and flooding. This permit is known as the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit (MS4). As part of this process, the municipalities are holding a regional meeting to discuss the stormwater permit requirements and to gather information. The public is invited to attend the meeting to understand process and requirements and to provide information regarding flooding, water pollution, stream erosion, failing stormwater basins, etc.
