The Dryden Ensemble continues its season with a program entitled "Lachrimæ: In Praise of Tears," featuring soprano Clara Rottsolk in songs by Dowland and Schubert on Saturday January 31 at 4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, located on 50 Cherry Hill Road off Hwy. 206, Princeton, NJ. Admission is free, though donations will be gratefully accepted. In "Lachrimæ: In Praise of Tears," the Dryden ensemble celebrates two of the greatest song writers: John Dowland and Franz Schubert. 2026 is the 400th anniversary of the death of Dowland and January 31 is Franz Schubert's 229th birthday. Soprano Clara Rottsolk will be joined by Daniel Swenberg on lute and Romantic guitar and Lisa Terry on bass viol and cello.
