Diwali (the festival of lights) is a celebration of the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It is a time for family and friends to share with each other through gatherings, sweets and gifts (which is what we have)! In our newly opened shop, located in our lobby, we are presenting a curated selection of one-of-a-kind handcrafted artisanal items. Our artisans have put a lot of love into their work by paying attention to the details that matter! Expert craftsmanship and safe materials make each item valuable. Community Clothing Swap Hosted By Wull & Oak and Stylebook

Join Wull & Oak and Stylebook for our Community Clothing Swap with music, small bites, ethical fashion and a good time! Do you have nice clothing pieces that never see the light of day because they no longer fit or just don't fit your life? Don't let them languish in the back of your closet - bring them to the swap! Your unworn clothes could be someone else's wardrobe staple! This is a one-for-one swap, with a limit of 10 clothing items per person. Nearly new clothing only - bring what you would want to find! This year we are also allowing up to 3 children's halloween costumes per-person at the swap. Proceeds from the event are benefiting local non-profit, Seeds to Sew, an organizations that supports sustainable income for women and funds education for girls in rural Kenya.

Amazing Pumpkin Carve, Woolsey Park

The Hopewell Valley Arts Council invites the community to celebrate a decade?plus of fall fun at the 11th Annual Amazing Pumpkin Carve, returning to Woolsey Park, October 9–12, 2025. Under the glow of a big top tent, 30 massive, 150?pound pumpkins will be transformed by local artists into jaw?dropping works of art—whimsical, spooky, and everything in between. Rain or shine, visitors can stroll through the tent to see the incredible displays, making the Carve a perfect autumn outing for families, friends, and neighbors.

New this year: Guests can sip local brews in the beer garden while enjoying live music at the Woolsey Park bandshell (Friday–Sunday, weather permitting). The festival also features a hay bale play area, pumpkin painting for kids, and storytelling by the firepits, creating a full weekend of fall festivities.

Fall Foliage Walk, Kingston Greenways Association

Walk leader, Jeff Cramer, is the South Brunswick Township arborist and a New Jersey Licensed Tree Expert with extensive background in urban forestry. As part of the walk, visit one of New Jersey's recently nominated "Big Trees." This tree, a swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor), was added to NJ DEP Forestry Department's Big and Heritage Tree Registry in September 2024. It is approximately 240 years old, has a circumference of 151", a diameter of 48", a height of 71', and a crown average of 92'. Rain or shine. Refreshments served following walk. Free.

Free Chamber Concert at Unitarian Church

A free chamber music concert is planned for Sunday, Oct 12 at 2:30-4:00 p.m., at the Unitarian Church of Princeton, 50 Cherry Hill Road.

Pianist Lew Coopersmith and violinist Burgel Zomorodi will play a sonata by Ludvig van Beethoven followed by pianist Frances Slade performing pieces by Felix Mendelssohn and Alberto Ginastera. The program continues with pianist Mina Perry playing selections by Wolfgang A Mozart and Frederic Chopin. The program concludes with pianist Rosanne Nahass performing pieces by Claude Debussy and Sergei Rachmaninoff. The program is free and hosted by Belle Mead Friends of Music.

The Sounds of Diwali, WWAC

From Carnatic Roots to Movie Rhythms - Join us for an evening of music you won't forget.

Audiences will be immersed in an evening of rhythm, melody, and dance with performances by Jhenkaara (Carnatic devotional), Ajay Siva (mridangamist), Vinutha Ramakrishnan (Carnatic violinst), Sur Taal Sangam (Hindustani classical), Swara’s Mahathi Chithi (Carnatic flautist), Nrutha Aaloka (Indian fusion dance), and Surabhi Fusion (Carnatic fusion). Together, they will create an unforgettable journey of music and devotion ending in danceable Indian film music.
