August Nature Walk, Friends of Princeton Open Space

Come along for an adventurous hike along the White Trail! We'll begin at the Mountain Lakes House, then make our way into John Witherspoon Woods, the oldest forest in the Greater Mountain Lakes Natural Area. This walk features rocky, uneven terrain and is best suited for those seeking a moderate challenge. Along the way, we'll pass through a grove of beech trees, follow along the winding rocky brook, and venture into a boulder field, where we'll visit Devil's Cave.

Dancing Under the Stars, Hinds Plaza

Members of Central Jersey Dance Society demonstrate basic steps and lead others in an evening of dancing to recorded music of all kinds on Hinds Plaza, weather permitting. Join us twice a month from June to September for our 11th season of this collaborative dance event co-sponsored by the library and Central Jersey Dance Society. Dates include: June 13, 27; July 11, 25; Aug. 8, 22; Sept. 12, Sept. 26. Sept. 26 will feature dances and music from Latin America for Hispanic Heritage Month. In case of rain or extreme heat, the event will be held in the Community Room.

Barracks Baseball Night at Trenton Thunder Ballpark

Trenton, New Jersey- Join the Old Barracks Museum for an exciting and memorable evening at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark! On Friday, August 22nd, friends and supporters of the Old Barracks will gather at the picnic section to enjoy a baseball game and all-you-can-eat buffet. This event promises not only a night of thrilling sports action but also a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members! The Trenton Thunder will be playing as the Trenton Pork Roll against the Williamsport Crosscutters as the stadium celebrates Capital City Night. The first 1,000 fans at the stadium will also receive a free "Slice" Bobblehead! Gates open at 6pm. The first pitch is at 7pm, and the buffet ends at 8pm.
