PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Dear Sisters:

HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER

Another year has slipped by rather fast, and now our thoughts are beginning to focus on summer fun at the beach or other vacation plans.

Do have a great summer with your family and friends whether you stay at home or travel.

We can't thank Ms. Satterfield enough for a very informative and stimulating evening at our May 8th meeting.  Her presentation on "The History of African Americans in Princeton" was quite an eye opener.  The 70 slides went by so fast we didn't notice there were that many.  If anyone is interested in the walking tour, I'll be happy to give you Ms. Satterfield's phone number for details.

We are currently waiting for Book Award

applications from high school students so we can start reviewing them and choose the two students who will be receiving the Awards. These will be given on June 12 at the Hightstown High Awards Night.

We thank Walter and Niambi for their generosity in giving one of these awards in honor of wife and mother, Gloria.

As stated in last month's Newsletter, it's not too early to start planning for our 9/07- 6/08 upcoming year.  Start thinking of prospective guest speakers so we can begin making contacts as soon as possible

The best to you all, and stay safe.

Joyce

TIPS for JUNE, 2007

Removing Stains

Blot, don't rub:  Except where otherwise instructed, BLOTTING--dabbing firmly with an absorbent cloth--is better than RUBBING--using a circular motion to gently scrub the area.  Be aware that rubbing may spread the stain and damage the fabric.

Hydrogen Peroxide (3 percent):  As a mild, slow-acting oxidizing bleach, it lifts bloodstains and whitens lace.

Borax:  Boost laundry cleaning. (Available in the detergent section of your supermarket.

PLEASE KEEP THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS
 IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS:

We also send well wishes to  the following:  Louise's uncle; Kevin; Illean's brother, Bill and  Lorna's mother.

Remember Jessica who is hospitalized at the present time.  If you wish to contact her, please call Joyce who has information.

It is our intention to remember all who are ill, lost a loved one or congratulate members and their families when achievements are made. However, you must let Ruth know so mention can be made in the Newsletter.
