President's Message
Dear Members and Friends:

I hope that you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving holidays and are ready to tackle the next big holiday festivities!  However, amidst your schedule of shopping, decorating and celebrations, please pause and remember the real reasons for our celebrations: the birth of Jesus Christ. Reflect on the words of Mathew, CH 2: 9-11:

When they had heard the king, they departed, and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him: and when they had opened their treasurers, they presented unto him gifts, gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

I look forward to seeing all the members at the annual holiday party on December 15th.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Kwaanza!

Sincerely,

Ruth Rainford Timins

TIPS

Dryer Hints

Did you know that dust and lint buildup in dryers is a leading cause of home fires?  So, for safety's sake, clean the lint filter after each load and the exhaust duct of your dryer on a regular basis.  If you leave clothes in the dryer too long, put a big damp towel in the dryer with the wrinkled clothes.  Set the dryer for 15 minutes and when it's done, take it out right away.  Presto, winkles are gone!
