| The Steering Committee met on Tuesday, April 1 at the Twin Rivers Library . The main focus of the meeting was the May 18 Recognition and fund raiser. Also discussed is the upcoming elections of officers for our coming year. Please come out and be a part of this process. We also talked about how we can attract new members, which is an ongoing process. Ideas are always welcome. Also on the agenda was the scholarship we are planning to give to one graduating high school student. We have one candidate, however, if you know of another student, please let us know immediately. We hope to give a scholarship to a Hightstown High graduating student on their "Award Night" and are working on this. |

CLOTHING COLLECTION Clothing (in good condition and clean, for working women) are always needed by the Urban Women's Center, 1201 W. State St., Trenton ( contact Dir., Doris Williams (609) 989-1925) and Dress for Success, (also known as Suitably Dressed), 640 S. Broad St., Trenton (contact Mary - 989-6639 - from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.; Mon - Fri). These organizations assist women who are returning to work and do not have the proper attire for work. They also need shoes and handbags. Thank you for your help in this matter. Your donations will be greatly appreciated. If you have large donations, it would be best to contact these agencies and arrange for drop off and to find out if they have the space for large donations. They can use suits for men, also. |

RETIREMENT Louise Smith's co-workers held a wonderful retirement party on March 20 at the Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick. Louise's sister came in from Chicago again and Dereck and Roger were also there, of course. A wonderful time was had by all. I guess we can say Louise is now officially retired, and we wish her the very best. |

TIPS Toner Ink - To prevent ink spills from happening in the first place, put the ink cartridge inside a small plastic bag and then pull off the covering strip. Keep in the bag until you put it in the printer. Use this hint when removing a cartridge. |
