YWCA Princeton's Father-Daughter Valentine Dance February 11, 2012
This Valentine’s Day, join the YWCA Princeton for one the sweetest events in Mercer County. For over ten years, dads and their daughters have been attending the cutest party in Princeton at the YWCA’s Father Daughter’s Valentine’s Day Dance. Girls come dressed in their lovely long gowns, fancy dresses, shiny shoes with their hair curled with ribbons, bows, clips, and tiaras. Fathers come dressed in everything from suits and ties to tuxedos and garnish their daughter’s wrists with corsages and flowers.
On Saturday, February 11, the Father Daughter Valentine’s Day Dance will take place again, for another incredibly adorable and charming evening where fathers spend some quality time dancing with their little loves. In a culture where so many dads are too busy working and not at home, this evening offers a special bonding time allowing fathers to spend some much needed and wanted quality time with their girls.
YWCA’s Dance Director, Christine Colosimo states, “This event is the best part of my job. Just watching all the little girls looking up into their daddies eyes, smiling, kissing and hugging their dads, they are so in awe of their father’s and so glad to be dancing with them. It makes the children feel so special. And the best part is that moms are not allowed! It is pure “daddy time”. I just love to see it. It melts my heart every year.”
The event is scheduled for February 11th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the YWCA , 59 Paul Robeson Place. The cost of the dance is $25 per couple, and the second daughter is free. Pre-registration is suggested and guarantees a spot, as the dance does sell out. Tickets can be obtained at the door if they are available. YWCA membership is not required and tickets can be purchased via phone at (609) 497-2100 ext. 0 or through the website at www.ywcaprinceton.org.
