Ayusa Looking for Volunteers to Host Exchange Students
We are looking for volunteer host families. This can be a family, a single parent, a single with no kids, seniors – really anyone who is interested in fostering world peace, one person and one family at a time. Host families are volunteers and are regarded as participating in the Department of States public diplomacy program.
All exchange students are sponsored by Ayusa on a J-1 visa, and the J-1 programs are heavily regulated by DOS and CSIET (Ayusa has received full listing for over 26 years, since the inception of CSIET), and Ayusa is responsible for the student, host family, and school placement and monitoring. J-1 visa programs are required to contact student and host families monthly. Contacting schools is not DOS required, but Ayusa does require school contacts. Ayusa values our relationships with our volunteer families and schools.
Student will arrive for the 2011/2012 school year. Volunteer host families should apply by July 25th to have time to select the student. Respite families are also needed and can apply anytime.
