Preschool Nature Class: Journey To The Past, The Watershed Institute

Paleontologist unite for a dig at the Watershed Reserve. Come unearth prehistoric creatures and learn all about the land before time. Classes generally include a craft, hike, and activity for the week's theme. We spend time outdoors each week, so come dressed in layers and waterproof shoes.

This program is intended for children ages 3-5. Younger siblings are welcome to attend with a parent, but we ask that they do not participate in activities.  Adult attendance and preregistration required- walk ins will not be allowed

Birds, Nesting and Birdhouses

Terhune Orchards’ Read and Explore Program is a winter education series designed to engage young learners through stories, hands-on activities, and seasonal farm learning. The program follows the popular Read and Pick Program offered during the growing season. This session focuses on birds as they prepare for spring and new families. The program lasts about an hour and includes a story and educational segment. After story time, each child will make their own birdhouse and get nesting materials to take home.

As undergrads, Gregg, Reba, Hillary, Bella, and Carson formed the kind of rare bond that college brochures promise—friendship that lasts a lifetime. Two decades later, the women are spread across the country but remain firmly tethered through their ever-unfurling group chat. They’ve made it through COVID and childbirth and midcareer challenges, but no one can anticipate what’s coming down the pike. Twenty years into their shared friendship, the stakes are higher than ever, and they must help one another reconcile professional ambition with personal tumult.
