Come out to the library to see and touch a truck! Drop by to see a variety of your local fire, police, EMS, and postal vehicles up close. Meet some of their operators and learn a bit about them and their jobs. There will also be crafts and a themed story time. This is an outdoor event, rain or shine. For all ages, youngest with a caregiver. Registration is not required.

Join Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands (FPNL) for a nature- and history-themed scavenger hunt at Mapleton Preserve/D&R Canal State Park. Find list items while exploring the fields and trails of the Preserve. The event is FREE. All ages are welcome but kids under 10 should be accompanied by an adult. All participants get a free FPNL tote. Bring a friend, or several!

Winery: For weekend entry, admission tickets must be purchased. Tickets are required for adults and children ages 3 years and up. Entry is free for children under 3.

Led by beloved librarian and early literacy specialist Pamela Groves (Miss Pam) and designed for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers, these engaging sessions introduce children to the joys of language, music, and movement in a warm, playful environment. Each class features Miss Pam’s signature style of interactive storyplay, weaving together books, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement to spark early literacy and numeracy skills. With a tri-lingual blend of English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL), the program fosters inclusivity and connection across cultures.

The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM) will hold a family-friendly celebration of the launch of its first children's book, Growing Up True, on Saturday, September 20, from 11am to 1pm. Growing Up True is inspired by the legacy of the True family, African American landowners and farmers in the Sourland Mountain region. SSAAM's book launch party will bring the story to life with hands-on activities, creative exploration, and a chance to meet the team behind the book.
