Fur, Feathers, Fluff: Keeping Warm in Winter
Terhune Orchards Read and Explore Program is our winter education series, following the popular seasonal Read and Pick Program. For our third Read and Explore program learn about how animals keep themselves warm in winter. We will read two stories about animals; explore the sense of touch with wool, feathers, etc. Each child will make a paper bag animal to take home with lots of “fluff.”

In this animated Disney musical, Tiana dreams of opening her own restaurant. When a talking frog claiming to be a prince begs for a kiss to break his spell, the kiss transforms her into a frog, too. A limited number of free tickets for library cardholders will be available at the third floor Youth Services desk one week prior to the movie screening date. Limit: two tickets per library cardholder.

This free, family-friendly drop-in program takes place in the historic William Trent House Museum. Four Centuries of African American Soldiers is a living history program that tells the heroic stories of America's black warriors spanning four hundred years until today. The program includes authentic military artifacts, reenactors, and military veterans sharing their own personal stories.

Bring your loved one, friends and family to enjoy sweet treats and music on this festive Wine Trail Weekend. Terhune Orchard’s bakery will be also creating an assortment of homemade chocolate treats for the weekend. Have fun tasting them along with our wines. For this weekend, we are offering a special wine and chocolate pairing of locally made chocolates and Terhune wines. Chocolate pairing includes wine flight, chocolates and a souvenir glass. We have partnered with Pierre's Chocolates of New Hope, PA known for their old-world recipes and single-origin artisan chocolates. Enjoy chocolate baked goods homemade from Terhune’s own bakery, a delicious addition to wine tastings Catch up with friends by the fire pit outside the winery. Inside the cozy wine barn, enjoy our 18 wine varieties.

Princeton Battlefield parking lot 500 Mercer Street Princeton Join us on a hike through the treasured Institute Woods to explore bits of history, as well as the sites and sounds that form this unique and serene setting. Hear stories about the Woods’ origin and the ways IAS mathematicians, physicists, and other members have engaged with it. Stops along the way will highlight the history of early Stony Brook, the Battle of Princeton, the Old Trolley trail, the establishment of the Institute for Advanced Study, and Founders Rock. We will make a special stop at the infamous Swinging Bridge, then hike over to the observation decks at the adjacent Rogers Wildlife Refuge. Along the way, there will be moments to observe, engage, and identify the different varieties of birds, plants, trees, and everything in between!
