This annual event encourages families across the country to take their children to visit their local library. Join Princeton Public Library for a variety of activities throughout the day.
Join us for a variety of activities throughout the day, including Saturday Storytime! at 10:30 a.m. and Mandarin Chinese Storytime at 11:30 a,m, in the Story Room. Pick up a Take & Make activity kit (while supplies last) and participate in a scavenger hunt on the library's third floor. Students in fifth through eighth grades may attend "Science Saturday" with Princeton University scientists at 3 p.m. Register here beginning Jan. 18.

Walkers will get a taste of Chambersburg and Villa Park on this Saturday morning walk that starts at 9:30 a.m. at Unity Square (formerly Columbus) Park. Walkers will move on to Villa Park, then loop back to Unity Square Park, celebrating the Chambersburg and Villa Park neighborhoods. Leading the 1.9 mile walk will be Becky Taylor and Tim Brill, co-chairs of the Trenton Walks! and Shereyl Snider, community engagement lead for the East Trenton Collaborative.

The Ronald E. Hatcher Science On Saturday Lecture Series returns to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) this year to offer lectures to science fans of all ages. Talks run from 9:30-11 a.m., which includes a presentation and Q&A. The talks are held online and in person at the Melvin B. Gottlieb Auditorium in PPPL’s Lyman Spitzer Building, located at 100 Stellarator Road in Princeton, New Jersey. Register here for the Zoom link for all the talks.

PolyGone Systems is a Princeton University spinout cleantech company that provides systematic solutions for aquatic microplastic pollution. We have developed an affordable, portable, and environmentally friendly filtration system that captures microplastics below 1mm scale and can be applied to a wide range of water bodies, including rivers, lakes, and wastewater effluents.

Animal Tracks
Terhune Orchards Read and Explore Program is our winter education series, following the popular seasonal Read and Pick Program. Our second Read and Explore program is Animal Tracks. We will read books about animals in winter and talk about wintertime in nature. After story time, we will make bird feeders with wild bird seed for everyone to take home and help the birds through winter. Weather permitting, we’ll visit our farm animals and see if we can match tracks to each.

Learn all about groundhogs, enjoy a hike to a groundhog hole, and try your hand at chucking wood with a catapult or trebuchet.
