Learn about the exciting history that helped to shape our state and nation. Attend our Fall Lecutre series to hear from highly respected historians and authors as they share and discuss their books.
October 10th: Michael C. Harris "Germantown" "Germantown," now a busy neighborhood in Philadelphia, was the site of one of the largest battles of the American Revolution. Once a small village outside of the colonial capital, on October 4th, 1777, George Washington attempted to recapture Philadelphia through this battle that often gets brushed over but is now discussed in Michael C. Harris's book.
Lectures will begin at 6 PM at the Old Barracks Museum, followed by a Q&A and book signing. Admission is free. Light refreshments will be available. Copies of these titles are available for purchase in-store or at www.barracks.org. All proceeds go towards supporting the Old Barracks Museum and its mission.
